Public Relations
Schools
Public Relations professionals
create and promote goodwill between an organization and its public - the employees,
customers, investors, the media, government, and members of the community. A public
relations manager tells its organization story, develops and maintains a mutually
beneficial relationship and becomes the company's strategic counsel to management.
Courses in communications, writing, public speaking, business management, and ethics
are all part of the requirements of a good public relations school.
Public relations graduates have a wide range of career opportunities, such as corporate
communications, community affairs, governmental lobbying, and campaign direction.
Many opt to go into specialty public relations agencies, although many take on roles
in the general industry.
