Visual Communications Schools

Visual communications is the science of using graphics and visuals as the engine for communication. Students in visual communication schools will gain an understanding of visual art, its expression, structure and meaning through both study and practice in areas that include painting, drawing, sculpture, printmaking, design, conceptual practice, film, video, and photography. In addition, digital multi media classes such as graphic designs, desktop publishing, graphic design, computer animation, desktop publishing, multimedia, illustration are required to be competitive in today's digital market.

Graduates of visual communication school go into publishing and communications. Some become professional graphic artists, or elect to become painters, photographers and filmmakers.
